Ruby Tweed Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ruby Christine Lucas Tweed, 84, of Asheville, passed away June 15, 2022, at the Emerald Ridge Rehabilitation Center. She was born on September 3, 1937, in Dickenson County VA, the daughter of Charlie F. and Orpha B. Lucas. She was a graduate of Clinchco High School of Clinchco, VA. Ruby was a Nurses Aid, working for many years at Highland Hospital, as well as various group homes, and private duty care. She spent her life taking care of others. Ruby enjoyed gardening, cooking, puzzle books, & spending time with family. She is survived by her sisters Brenda Fuller (Frank), Goldie Maiden and a brother Charles Lucas (Lucille), children, Tina T. Thuro (Gary), Gregory Tweed (Linda), and a stepson Cloyd Tweed, Grandchildren, Kristiana Burrell (Travis), Joshua Chisholm (Brandy), Brian Tweed, Stephanie Tweed, Megan Tweed, Jackson Tweed, Lucas Thuro, and Libby Thuro; Great Grandchildren, Karlee, Blake, Harper, Bailey, Sloan, Scotlyn, Ian, Trent, Christian, Michael, Riley, and MaKenna. She is preceded in death by her two sisters Phyllis Lucas, and Lovely Johnson, her husband Jack Tweed, two sons Marlon Craig Tweed, and Kevin Scott Tweed, and one daughter, Denise T. Chisholm.
