Facts about funerals and COVID-19

We remain deeply committed to the health and well-being of our community, our guests and our associates.

Morris Family Care group prioritizes the health and well-being of our associates and guests. We are monitoring this fluid situation and will continue to  evaluate developments of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

In an effort to closely adhere to the precautionary measures suggested by the CDC, all services and visitation will be strictly private with the option of complimentary on-site video streaming.  Families that choose to hold a private service at this time will have the option to hold a public memorial service at a later date; for these families, we will waive the memorial service fee.

We do ask that those at risk or those not feeling well please stay home, you may certainly reach out to the family by visiting our website www.morrisfamilycare.com.  There you will find a life tribute page dedicated to each person we are serving.  Should you plan to attend a private service, please follow the CDC recommendations below.

In addition to communicating best health and safety practices to our associates and guests, Morris Family Care has implemented enhanced cleaning throughout our locations:

  • Associates have been reminded of and encouraged to use good hand hygiene and cough etiquette habits.
  • Heightened daily disinfection practices for high-touch surfaces

We encourage you to follow the CDC recommendation to take the usual steps to help prevent the spread of illness:

Wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available-based hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with your arm or inner elbow
  • Avoid close contact with sick people

Stay home when you are sick or not feeling well.
